Banditos Lose, 6-4, at Cruz Bay Park
|
The South Bay Arsenal downed the Acapulco Banditos, 6-4, at Cruz Bay Park. The Arsenal were led by Bhasin Maqbool, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lou Cove closed the game out for South Bay, earning his 17th save. South Bay is now 40-34. Acapulco is 35-39.
One significant at-bat for South Bay came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fourth. Arsenal left fielder Blaine Turner drew a walk, which helped South Bay go on to win.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Turner told the South Bay Bulletin.
