Cacti Stymie Scranton, Take 2-1 Win
|
The Albuquerque Cacti got a magnificent effort from pitcher Alejandro Lafrosia, who kept Scranton hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Cacti win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The winning pitcher was Lafrosia, now 7-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. Jim Unknown recorded the save for Albuquerque, his 1st of the season.
Lee Jones was a prime factor in the win for the Cacti. In the bottom of the fifth with one out, the 31-year old center fielder hit a run-scoring single. He was 1-2 with 2 walks.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Lafrosia.
Scranton's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
