Indian Wells second baseman Motonobu Suzuki was instrumental in his team's 6-2 win over the Silver Lake Baristas. Suzuki, who is tied for 3rd in the KSL in stolen bases with 19, went 4-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Aeropostales. José Díaz, the winner, improved to 5-3. He held the Baristas to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Shih-k'ai Mi nailed down his 17th save.
Suzuki provided the big break for the Aeropostales in the top of the first inning. With the bases empty, he hit a triple, helping Indian Wells to get the win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Suzuki said, "and we're having fun right now."
Silver Lake has now lost 5 in a row.
