Des Moines center fielder Bård Tengesdal picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Fairfield Flash, 7-6. Des Moines reliever Eliot Moreau picked up the win to move to 3-3. James Logan suffered the loss. Des Moines has now won 3 in a row.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Tengesdal hit a slider from James Logan for a run-scoring single. The Spartans, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Tengesdal.
