The Fort Worth Cats dealt the Wichita Wranglers a 6-3 loss at Bulldog Stadium. Tomás Rivera was the star on offense. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Aidan Kenneil got the win, improving to 9-2. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Fort Worth is now 47-22, 3˝ games up in the Kade Stenson League Swinging Friar Division.
The Cats got a big boost from designated hitter Theodore Brennan who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning off Wranglers hurler Jason Williams. It was his 16th RBI of the season and put Fort Worth on top, 1-0.
Rivera attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
