Giampaolo Marcovicci added some punch to the Coronado offense, helping them outmuscle the Scranton Escape, 16-7. In the game, Marcovicci, who is tied for 3rd in the KSL in stolen bases with 19, went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 5 times and drove in 5. Naomi Kobayashi got the win, improving to 7-5. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 10 hits and 7 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Coronado is now 32-33, Scranton 17-49.

Making an impact for Coronado was second baseman Jorge Castillo. He drilled a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Castillo was 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
