Phantoms Curb Escape, 4-2
|
The Coronado Phantoms picked up a win at Phantoms Field, knocking off the Scranton Escape, 4-2. On the mound for Coronado was left-hander Daniel Wilson, who played a pivotal role in the win. Coronado currently is in 5th place in the Kade Stenson League Swinging Friar Division at 31-33.
Jorge Castillo had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Phantoms. Coming up with the bases loaded and Coronado trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
"I just love going out and having a big game," Wilson said when asked about being named player of the game. "It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
