The Indian Wells Aeropostales had to overcome a big game from Mdewanketon left fielder Manchu Liu to leave Stars Field with a 5-4 victory. Liu was 1 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Indian Wells is 41-25 and Mdewanketon, with the loss, 30-36.
It could have been a different outcome for Indian Wells, had it not been for Apupa Ekachakra, the 27-year old center fielder . Ekachakra contributed a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth inning to put Indian Wells up, 5-1.
In postgame comments, Ekachakra told the Indian Wells Bulletin: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
