Kubo hits 2 home runs, Leads Cats to Win
Fort Worth designated hitter Motonobu Kubo had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Mdewanketon Sabercats, 9-7. Fort Worth reliever Bob Doss was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Yee Kuang. Chong-su Kwon picked up the save for Fort Worth, his 8th of the year.

Kubo contributed when he hit a grand slam in the top of the eighth. Coming with one out and the bases loaded, the home run proved to be critical to helping Fort Worth get the win.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Kubo, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."

Fort Worth goes to 41-21. The win puts them 2˝ games up in their division.
