Benefiting from the performance of Bryan Battle, the Scranton Escape defeated the Wichita Wranglers, 9-6. Battle was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Escape. Juan Núñez closed the game out for Scranton, earning his 10th save. Scranton's record now stands at 14-42, placing them last in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division.

Scranton took a 9-6 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, right fielder Paco Jiménez hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Jiménez.
