Kieu Leads Charge, Scranton Blasts Wranglers
The Scranton Escape easily defeated the Wichita Wranglers, 13-1, at Hell Stadium, with center fielder Hoang Kieu a main contributor to the win. He went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for Scranton. Melvyn Maisonneuve, credited with the win, is now 3-4. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits in 6 innings. Brant Buchanan was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

One of the key players for the Escape was first baseman Desmond Waters, who drilled a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third inning. For the game, Waters went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Claudio Rojas.

The Escape improve their record to 13-42 with the win over Wichita.
