The Des Moines Spartans faced a tough opponent in Albuquerque pitcher Gareth Scholes, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Albuquerque Sports Stadium by a final score of 4-0. Scholes went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. The win was Eliot Moreau's in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Jim Unknown took the loss for Albuquerque. Des Moines is now 31-24, Albuquerque 30-25.
