The Fairfield Flash trumped the Fort Worth Cats, 9-4, at LaGrave Field. Fairfield first baseman Kohei Matsumoto was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Fairfield is now 31-22, 2½ games up in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division.

Lu-po-teh Cheung, who is tied for 7th in the KSL in RBI with 42, aided the Fairfield cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Fairfield skipper Gary Altman.
