Fort Worth Cats starter Curt Goff was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Fairfield Flash, 6-3. Chong-su Kwon closed the door for Fort Worth, picking up his 5th save of the year. The Cats saw their win-loss record go to 34-18. At the same time, the Flash fell to 30-22.
Bryce Rice was a key contributor to the win for the Cats. In the bottom of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a double to left. He was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
"Curt was throwing free and easy," said Fort Worth manager José Parra.
