Scranton designated hitter Octávio Valenzuela had a good game, even if his team did not. The Escape dropped a 10-9 decision to Mdewanketon at Hell Stadium. Valenzuela went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. The winner was Mdewanketon reliever Shi-fa Wong, now 3-1. The loser was Charles Walker. Mdewanketon occupies 5th place in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division at 24-27.

Jim Unknown contributed an important at-bat in the top of the eighth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat that helped send Mdewanketon to the win.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Unknown told the Mdewanketon Today. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
