|
Fairfield right-hander Juan Ramírez made an effective start against the Silver Lake Baristas at Ashton Gate, leading his team to a 9-4 win. The Flash move to 27-20 with the win, while the Baristas drop to 21-25.
Jesús Valenzuela was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks for Fairfield. In the top of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Valenzuela delivered for the Flash. His run-scoring walk put Fairfield on top, 4-3.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Ramírez told reporters after the game.
