Scranton Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
Brad Lyons was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Acapulco and Scranton. The right-hander was named the player of the game in Acapulco's 2-0 win. Aubert Licci, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. The Escape, now 11-34, have lost 5 straight.
Coy Jacobs said he was thinking home run when he came to bat in the bottom of the seventh. Jacobs did just that. He belted a solo home run to stake Acapulco to a 1-0 lead.
Jacobs said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
