Indian Wells left fielder Shaun Sharp had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-7, to Coronado at Phantoms Field. Sharp went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. Coronado reliever Cipriano Sousa got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Cain Chatfield was tagged with the loss. After today's action, Coronado sits at 22-19, while Indian Wells falls to 27-14.

Coronado's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied, Sergio Aragón reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.
