Cats Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
Fort Worth and Albuquerque duked it out at Albuquerque Sports Stadium and the Cats came out victorious.

The Fort Worth Cats defeated the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-2, in Kade Stenson League action at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, with Fort Worth pitcher Rob MacKinney named player of the game. MacKinney picked up the win for Fort Worth, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. Chong-su Kwon picked up the save, his 1st.

Motonobu Kubo took Gareth Scholes deep with one out in the top of the fourth. On a 1-2 fastball, Kubo drilled a 2-run home run to left. It was his 8th home run of the season and put Fort Worth on top, 2-0.

"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said MacKinney.
