The skies opened up and the rain fell at Horseman Field.
The Wichita Wranglers got a stellar performance from pitcher James Morris, who handcuffed the Amarillo offense en route to a 4-2 win at Horseman Field. With the win, Wichita has a record of 15-26. Amarillo falls to 24-16.
The Wranglers got a big at-bat from first baseman Craig Fern. For the game, Fern was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Wichita a 2-0 lead.
"It's a long season," said Fern. "We'll keep working to improve."
