The Banditos had to overcome a fine effort from Fairfield pitcher Kichibei Ozawa to grab a narrow 5-3 win at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Ozawa went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Aubert Licci recorded his 5th save for Acapulco. The Banditos raised their record to 16-21.
Acapulco designated hitter Khai Sui changed the game in the top of the seventh when he belted a grand slam home run off Michael Lutz. His 5th home run of the season gave Acapulco a 4-1 lead.
Sui said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
