Horseman Get 6-4 Win Versus Mdewanketon
|
Fans who gathered at Mystic Lake Stadium saw a good contest between the Amarillo Horseman and Mdewanketon Sabercats.
The inspired effort of Mdewanketon shortstop Ikki Ozaki was not enough to prevent a 6-4 loss to the Amarillo Horseman. Ozaki was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The second-place Horseman lifted their record to 22-13.
In the top of the fifth, Yasuhiko Sato took a changeup from Jagara Suksma and pounded a 2-run home run to right-center. It put Amarillo on top, 6-4. For the game, Sato was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Sato. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
