The Fairfield Flash downed the Champaign Chiefs, 10-4, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Flash were led by Lu-po-teh Cheung, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Joshua Fullerton closed it out for his 1st save. The first-place Flash are now 20-15, the Chiefs 15-20.

Chipping in for Fairfield was catcher Haden Gregory. He stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Gregory was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.

"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Fairfield skipper Gary Altman.
