Mustangs Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Mile High Mustangs outlasted the Georgia Grays in an extra-inning thriller.

Mile High rode a good effort from starter Brett Beck to beat the Georgia Grays at The Death Star. The final score was 3-2. Everton Mailes picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Bryan Lynch was tagged with the loss. Aaron Taylor recorded his 3rd save for Mile High.

Both teams had trouble manufacturing runs. So, Marshall Dempsey's at-bat in the top of the 11th was critical. With no one out, the Mile High first baseman hit a 2-run home run, to give his team a 3-1 lead.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Mile High manager Dave Harris.

The Mustangs, with just their 5th win so far in 2028, have yet to catch fire.
