The inspired effort of Mdewanketon designated hitter Sudhin Diwan was not enough to prevent a 5-3 loss to the Albuquerque Cacti. Diwan was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Troy Dyer earned the save, his 7th. The Cacti' win now puts them at 18-15.

The game was far from mistake-free. In the top of the second, the Sabercats committed a costly error on a base hit by Kim-Hu Thuy. Albuquerque scored 2 on the play to take the lead, 2-0.

"This was a good win," said Thuy.
