Great Effort by Sato Wasted in 10-7 Loss
Amarillo got a terrific game from catcher Yasuhiko Sato. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Scranton, 10-7. Sato was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The Escape, with only their 8th win in 32 games, have not had much to write home about in 2028.

Octávio Valenzuela chipped in for Scranton, stroking a crucial 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Jason Clark.
