|
Coronado starter Shoichi Ikeda kept the Silver Lake hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a 9-2 win. Ikeda, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 8.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. The win leaves Coronado with a record of 17-15.
Coronado center fielder Sean Witter made his contribution to the Phantoms cause with a 2-run double in the top of the first inning. For the day, Witter was 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Chris MacArtney. "But it's got to translate into wins."
