Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Arsenal
|
The South Bay Arsenal got a magnificent performance from pitcher Atsushi Iitsuka, who stifled the Fairfield offense en route to a 2-1 Arsenal win at Cruz Bay Park. With the loss, Fairfield is 17-14.
South Bay won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Jim Unknown on the mound for Fairfield, catcher Ken Boyer hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Arsenal fans to their feet.
"This wasn't a good win," said Boyer. "It was a great win."
