The Acapulco Banditos topped the Amarillo Horseman by the score of 11-5, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Juan Ruíz. Ruíz went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Banditos. The win leaves Acapulco with a record of 13-17.

Acapulco took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, first baseman Andreas Ryan hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Acapulco skipper Barry Bowman. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
