The Coronado Phantoms and Mdewanketon Sabercats obliged those fans who came to Phantoms Field looking for a good time.

The Coronado Phantoms did just enough to secure a 8-7 victory over the Mdewanketon Sabercats at Phantoms Field. Nobody did more than designated hitter Tokuhei Taniguchi, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Ajdir Kasakya in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jim Unknown took the loss.

Susumu Yamamoto was the walk-off hero for Coronado. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Coronado pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Yamamoto said.

The Sabercats fall to 13-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.
