Albuquerque Cacti starter Augusto Sánchez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Scranton Escape, 7-3. Albuquerque reliever Ángel González picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Mei-shan Chin took the loss. Albuquerque is now 14-14.

Albuquerque took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Garry Rabenek stroked a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Cacti.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Sánchez. "I just want to win ballgames."
