Kawashima Goes Off, But Cats Win
The inspired effort of Wichita right fielder Masatake Kawashima was not enough to prevent a 10-8 loss to the Fort Worth Cats. Kawashima slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The save went to Trey Burrell, his 8th this season. The Cats keep rolling, raising their record to 19-11.

Rana Khosa came through for Fort Worth when he hit a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a full count cutter to left field, staking his team to a 6-4 lead.

"Good win for us," said Khosa. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
