Banditos Win at Albuquerque, 7-5
|
Albuquerque left fielder John Barthe had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cacti dropped a 7-5 decision to Acapulco at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Barthe was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Acapulco reliever Nick Riley was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Darren de Koning. With the win, Acapulco boosts its record to 12-15.
Andreas Ryan didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run triple to put Acapulco on top, 2-0.
"It feels good to get that win," said Ryan. "Now it's on to the next one."
