Blazers Lose to Earthquakes, 5-0
|
Right-hander António Medrano mesmerized the Bloomington Blazers while leading the San Francisco Earthquakes to a 5-0 victory. Kalyanavarman Nagaraj closed the game out for San Francisco, earning his 1st save. The Earthquakes, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
Pablo Ríos delivered a big hit for the Earthquakes. The veteran second baseman belted a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The longball put San Francisco on top, 4-0. Overall, Ríos was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Dennis Shepard.
