Fairfield beat Albuquerque, 8-7. The win in part was due to designated hitter Lu-po-teh Cheung, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win pushes Fairfield to a record of 14-10.

Jesús Velásquez contributed to the Fairfield cause with a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double, propelling Fairfield to the win.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Albuquerque manager Jorge Velásquez. "But we decided not to take it."
