Aeropostales Jolt Escape with Late Rally

Indian Wells and Scranton took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Aeropostales grabbed a win, 3-0, at Stars Field, overcoming a fine effort from Scranton pitcher Melvyn Maisonneuve. Maisonneuve went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Indian Wells reliever Katsumi Onishi picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Brant Buchanan was collared with the loss.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when second baseman Juan Salgado drew a walk. The Aeropostales went on to win.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Jason Clark. "That was the problem."
The win moves Indian Wells to a record of 13-9.
