Meyer, Flash Too Much for Aeropostales
In a tight contest at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, the Fairfield Flash edged the Indian Wells Aeropostales by the score of 5-4. Fairfield third baseman Kevin Meyer, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Fairfield reliever James Logan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Xiao-wei Men took the loss. Fairfield has a mark of 9-8 after the win.

Kohei Matsumoto drew 1 walk for Fairfield. The 23-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mushanokoji Uchida. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Indian Wells manager Brad Anderson said following the tough loss.
