Wilcox scores 3 runs in Banditos Win

Acapulco and Wichita put this game in the books despite some rain.
Acapulco center fielder Bill Wilcox was instrumental in his team's 9-4 win over the Wichita Wranglers. Wilcox went 2-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Banditos. Fred Campbell, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 2 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 1-2.
Wilcox contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Acapulco get the win.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Wilcox. "But I like how we're playing right now."
The Banditos, now 9-4, have been on a roll in the early going.
