Banks, Baristas Rough Up Escape
|
The Silver Lake Baristas put together a convincing win at Hell Stadium, defeating the Scranton Escape, 12-3. Rick Banks was one of the hitting stars. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for Silver Lake. Silver Lake reliever Manuel Romero was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Greg Finley took the loss. Scranton, at 4-11, is off to a poor start in 2028.
Paul Frank contributed to the Silver Lake cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the third inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, propelling Silver Lake to the win.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Frank. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
