Horseman Stick Cacti with 5-3 Loss
|
The Amarillo Horseman topped the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-3, in Kade Stenson League action at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The player of the game was Amarillo pitcher and The United States native Jackson Thompson. Thomas Wright closed the door for Amarillo, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The Horseman, now 11-4, have been red hot.
Tadasu Toyota contributed an important at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat that helped send Amarillo to the win.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Amarillo manager Okitsugu Azuma. "It's usually not just one thing."
