In a low-scoring tilt between the South Bay Arsenal and the Indian Wells Aeropostales, Arturo Vega was the difference-maker. The South Bay right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-1 win. The winning pitcher was Vega, now 3-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2. Lou Cove recorded the save for South Bay, his 3rd of the season.

"Runs were at a premium," said South Bay manager Garfield Christian.
The win brings the Arsenal to 6-9, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
