Castillo Delivers Walk-Off Win for Aeropostales
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Indian Wells Aeropostales and the South Bay Arsenal, José Díaz was the difference-maker. The Indian Wells right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. The Arsenal, now 5-9, continue their poor start.
Coming to the plate with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Indian Wells center fielder Héctor Castillo had a chance to be the hero. Facing South Bay pitcher Lou Cove with the bases loaded, Castillo, who is tied for 2nd in the KSL in stolen bases with 5, drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"This joint was rocking," said Castillo.
