The Albuquerque Cacti got a stellar performance from pitcher Alejandro Lafrosia, who handcuffed the Coronado offense en route to a 4-0 win at Phantoms Field. Lafrosia, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. At 5-3, the Cacti have played well so far.

In the top of the sixth inning, shortstop Lauro Zorzi came through big-time for the Cacti. With Albuquerque leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Zorzi.
