Jersey starter Apupa Yavar put a stranglehold on the Bloomington offense. The right-hander had complete command of his change up in leading the Jesters to a 3-1 win. Jersey goes to 10-4 with the win.

Tim Thompson broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Jesters in front, 2-1. For the game, Thompson went 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Thompson.
