Fairfield first baseman Jorge Ramírez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-3, to Silver Lake at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Ramírez was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch. Pedro Reyes said the idea of hitting a home run crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the seventh. Reyes belted a 2-run home run to stake Silver Lake to a 5-3 lead. His 1st home run of the season came off Fairfield pitcher Alexis Garrett.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Reyes told the Silver Lake Daily.
