The inspired effort of Scranton first baseman Jeffrey Bath was not enough to prevent a 8-5 loss to the Acapulco Banditos. Bath went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Aubert Licci, his 2nd. The Banditos raised their record to 4-2.

The game hit a turning point in the top of the fourth inning, when the Banditos were trailing 5-4. Khai Sui delivered a two-out bases-clearing double for Acapulco, catapulting his team into the lead.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Sui, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
