Hops Knock Off So Cal at House of the Republic
|
The San Diego Hops got a good effort from starter Kendrick Dobson in defeating the So Cal Republic at House of the Republic. The final score was 6-2. The Republic, now 11-4, continue their slow start.
Daniel López delivered a big hit for the Hops. The veteran right fielder belted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth. The longball put San Diego on top, 6-2. Overall, López was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Dobson.
