Fairfield and Mdewanketon exchanged punches and in the end the Flash won the slugfest.

The Fairfield Flash outscored the Mdewanketon Sabercats, 14-13. Yasushi Kato led the way, going 4-for-5 for Fairfield. Fairfield reliever Gita Djojohadiksumo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Quezada took the loss. Teguh Suharto was credited with the save for Fairfield, his 1st of the season.

Manuel Delvalle said the idea of hitting a home run crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the ninth. Delvalle belted a 2-run home run to stake Fairfield to a 14-13 lead. His 1st home run of the season came off Mdewanketon pitcher Juan Quezada.

Mdewanketon manager Jerry Russell said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score in double digits, you expect to win the game."

The Flash, now 4-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
