Acapulco Banditos starter Nobuhito Suzuki turned in a top-notch performance against the Champaign Chiefs at Orange Field. The result was a win for the Banditos, 5-2. Suzuki got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. Suzuki allowed no earned runs. The loss drops Champaign to 1-1.
Andreas Ryan took Jayakar Ramadin deep in the top of the second. His 2-run home run put the Banditos in front, 2-0. For the game, Ryan was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Nobuhito's tempo and rhythm were good," said Acapulco Banditos manager Barry Bowman. "He was the key to us winning."
