Finley Leads Scranton Past Fairfield
|
The 2028 season did not get off to quite the start the Fairfield Flash had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Scranton Escape at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The final score was 6-2. Starting Pitcher Greg Finley was named player of the game for Scranton. Jim Unknown nailed down his 1st save.
It was a remarkable effort from Finley, who is one of the team leaders. Finley recorded 11 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Finley, who is rated as the 83rd best prospect by BNN, moves to 1-0 on the year with 11 strikeouts.
"This is truly a great team to play with," Finley said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
